Water Softener Service Paradise Tx-(940) 389-6850
We got a call that there was a leak in the well house coming from the water softener so we went out and found that the salt tank was over flowing with water. This hardly ever happens since there is a mechanism that turns the brine piston (or the device that puts water into the salt tank) and shuts it off after so many minutes. Well when I took the tube loose to see what was going on there was water coming out even when the system was in service. I had not seen this before but knew what the cause was. Whenever there is water either going to the drain or something like this situation it is the piston and the seals and spacers. We took out the piston and carefully inspected the seals that surround the piston and found a little tear in two of the seals. We replaced the entire kit and viola no more water going into the salt tank. It sure made a mess on the floor though and so I would recommend that as you put salt into your salt tank take a look to see where your water level is, if it is near the top then perhaps you have a problem and I would suggest you call your water softener service company or you can call us at (940) 389-6850 and we will be right out to get your water soft again.
